
Master the Foundation of Hair Design.
The Hairstyling Program consists of 600 clock hours of technical instruction and practical operations covering hairstyling practices within the scope of training established by the State of California. This program is delivered through a hybrid format: 50% online theory and 50% hands-on, on-campus training.
What You'll Learn
Technical instruction includes demonstration, lecture, classroom participation, and evaluation. Practical operations include the performance of services on clients under instructor supervision and are completed on campus in a professional training environment.
Hair Cutting & Styling
Hair cutting with shears, razors, and clippers. Hairstyling including wet styling, thermal styling, and blow-drying.
Coloring & Lightening
Hair coloring and lightening, including tinting, bleaching, highlights, lowlights, and corrective color.
Chemical Texture Services
Learn the foundational techniques for permanent waving and chemical straightening.
The Business & Safety
Professional practices, client consultation, career preparation, health, safety, and California laws and regulations.

Program Policies & Outcomes
Outcome
Graduates receive a Certificate of Completion and Proof of Training (POT) to apply for the California State Board licensing exam.
Student Requirements
Students are required to complete all program hours and pass a final examination with a minimum score of 85% in accordance with institutional standards.
